I’m very, very happy to report that Ludicrous Mama of Biting the Hand that Feeds You is the winner of our First Anniversary Super-Cool Necklace Giveaway! Why am I so happy? Ludicrous Mama has written for World’s Worst Moms four times. Yes, four. She’s got that much material. So apparently the gods of the random number generator felt she deserved this.

And in honor of our very first anniversary, I’m starting what will now be referred to as “Throwback Thursday” (I know — incredibly witty and original). We’ll kick it off with the very first post that went up on August 25, 2010. It was given to me by a friend who didn’t want to be identified — which is funny when you read some of the stuff we’ve posted since!

We were on the airplane, coming home, and I’d dilly dallied too long about making up my mind about what I wanted to eat, so I wound up not getting anything for the plane. My 4-year-old son and I were at the back of the plane, using the bathroom, and as we were coming forward, back to our seats, I saw the flight attendants’ basket of peanuts and pretzels on the ground. So I just snagged one and walked back to my seat.
When we sat down, my son said, “Well, did you ask if you could take that?” Talk about undoing good behavior.
Just to make matters worse, the flight attendant came by and said, “Would you like any more of that?”
