Today is Jasper Adoption Day. One year ago, we brought home our little 10-pound puppy. Now he’s a whopping 70+ (frankly not sure of the exact amount because I hurt my back trying to weigh him the last time).
I love having a dog. And I wouldn’t exchange Jasper for any other one, even though I just spent the last hour vacuuming because he’s shedding so much that he looks like he’s in a constant cloud of fur. We call him Pig Pen.
And I wouldn’t change anything even though, coincidentally, he puked in the car at Elfie’s feet this morning on the way to school. I say coincidentally because the day we got him, he puked on Elfie during our drive home. It’s been a running joke that any time he throws up, he has to do it near her (not lying).
1 Year Ago: Still can’t believe Elfie didn’t freak out and make us pull over.
Today: “Sorry…”
So Happy Anniversary Jasper. Thanks for letting the kids roll all over you. And doing that funny thing where you “talk” back to me like you know what I’m saying. And always coming home after you go roaming. Thanks for getting me outside for walks, waking up the kids in the morning, and putting them to bed at night. Thanks for being such a good boy.
You’re definitely worth all the puke and shedding.

aww.. He’s so stinkin’ frinkin’ cute! Happy anniversary to you all! Dogs are the biggest bag of dumb/awesome all rolled into one big ball of cuddly greatness ever. He looks so happy! (even if he does occasionally barf on your daughter…)
