Last, Last Minute Costumes for Kids

– Posted in: Holidays, Things To Do with Kids, Worst Mom Randomness

So I know this is going to be hard to believe — given my reputation for having everything pulled together all the time — but I’ve had quite a few instances of last-minute, ” pull crap from all over your house and garage” because you need to make a costume. I know. It really is shocking.

Anyway, for my segment this week on News 4 Forum, I decided to look around for some good costumes for kids if you completely blew it and were stuck with just your fantastic imagination and a house full of stuff you used to think might make you a hoarder but now, in your hour of need, apparently was a great idea to keep.

Some of the more original…

Okay, so clearly this would take a while, but you’d just need poster board.

Almost everyone I know in the world has Superman pajamas. And just bust out the lenses of some old sunglasses.

White T-shirt and a Sharpie. Even college students have these.

My 3 year old wanted to be Alvin at the last minute. I turned one of Manchild’s red t-shirts inside out, cut a big “A” out of an old shirt, and glue sticked the crap out of it. Added a red had and whiskers… Ta-da! It was stupidly adorkable.
