A Scary, Shady Sunday

– Posted in: Conservatives are Funny, Politics, Religion, Videos, Worst Mom Randomness

So I saw two videos that made me laugh today. One was really frickin’ funny. The other was just so sad that I did the “Oh dear lord I can’t believe these people actually exist” laugh that isn’t really laughing at all.

I’ll start you out with the disturbing one because I’m an “eat the food you don’t like first” kind of person. This is Dennis Terry, the pastor at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church. He was introducing Rick Santorum to his congregation and apparently wasn’t aware of the fact that outsiders might see it. The spinners have tried to pull this from as many places as possible, which I frankly find the most offensive part of all. Because if you’re going to spew this sort of crap, at least have the balls to back it up.

Incidentally, I saw this story on a great site called Unreasonable Faith. Let’s just say the guy who runs it would definitely be going to hell if there were one.
Video number two is dessert. Here’s Mitt Romney as Slim Shady. Just engaged in some mass debating.

Happy (late night) Sunday.;)

Sweet….all that is holy….! I'm not a religious person. I don't go to any church unless coerced. But I went to the Unity Church in town yesterday, since I send my daughter to the preschool Co-Op at the church, although the preschool does not teach any king of religion, they say, "that's your business". Anyway, I had to register number two for preschool and decided to attend the service first, let the kids play and the message of the day really hit home. It said, "If you have a problem saying the word "God" use a different word. Call him doorknob for all we care. It's about your spirituality. Not the name." I am one of those Atheists and I liked the message…Don't try to personify "God" Because the minute you do, is the minute you get pigeon holed into one understanding. But anyway, I also am one who thinks we should respect other's religions and a person who things it should be really really important to teach the history of world religion in order for anyone to understand how their own came about. The first one is so disturbing I don't even know what to say. And to the second, I am now a fan of Mitt Romney….lol. That and I am going to be singing that all frickn day long…Thanks

When it comes to religion, I understand if people do whatever it takes to get them through the night. Just as long as they don't also feel the need to throw rocks through my windows in the middle of the night because I don't agree with them.

And I've been singing the Mitt Romney song ever since I heard it. It's so catchy with the new lyrics. . .
