Dearest Worst Moms,
So it’s been a crazy week. First of all, we’ve somehow been nominated for Best Mom Blog at Hot 99.5 in Washington D.C. (you can vote for us here and that would be swell). This is all, in a word, awesome! But completely crazy.
And second, I have some big news (maybe not bigger than the Hot 99.5 thing, but still). After years of living in two different houses with this site and my other, more personal blog, Partly Sunny, Chance of Rain, I’m finally getting off my ass and marrying myself.
By Monday, August 27th, Partly Sunny will be no more, and I’ll be writing all off my snarky, ranty, crazy commentary on the World’s Worst Moms site. This expanded format will also give you guys a chance to jump in and contribute to a wider range of topics if you’re interested. And trust me — I’d really, really love the company (it just gets so darn lonely…).
There’s just one little issue that I need to deal with before this goes any further. If you’ve come over to Partly Sunny, you know I’m a liberal. I’m actually also an atheist (one who thinks Jesus was a swell guy and wishes more of his followers would remember what he talked about while he was here, but that’s another story for another time).
My point with all of this is that if you happen to be one of those people who only watches Fox news, looks up to Glenn Beck, thinks Barack Obama’s birth certificate was a fake, and believes Mitt Romney is going to fight for the middle class, you might not be all that keen on me. And that’s totally cool. Like my husband always says, “You definitely aren’t McDonald’s — the majority of people probably aren’t going to like you.”
But I wanted to let you all know so you could jump ship now. And, if you happen to have a story posted here, you have time to let me know if you want it removed. Like I said, no harm, no foul.
But I hope to see most of you back here on Monday morning. World’s Worst Moms has always been a place of tolerance and open-mindedness, and my gut tells me that most of you were drawn here because you have those values as well. That and you think life is generally amusing.
Anyway, there’s no way I can put into words how much I appreciate all the support you guys have given me over the past couple of years. You’ve without a doubt been one of the brightest parts of my life during some really dark times. For that, I’m eternally grateful.
Peace, Love, and all the Hokey Stuff,
Tammy
P.S. Because I’m moving to WordPress, Google Friend Connect is going to go bye-bye. So it would be super-cool if you’d sign up for email (no spamming, I swear), join us on Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest, or add me to your feed (RSS). And do it now because you know what happens when you say you’ll get back to something (I mean, at least that’s what happens to me). Thanks folks.
So proud of you girl!!!! You know I'm coming along for the ride!

Yay! Yay! I wish I could "out" myself as both a liberal and an atheist on a grand scale. Good for you! And of course, this goes without saying, I'm right there with ya! Looking forward to watching one marry oneself!
